I've been trying for a while to think of a way to improve the guild run situation. Dustin and i had a chat the other day about it and he persuaded me that there might be a way to do AQ20 or ZG runs in the near future.
Firstly i would like to state that while you may not have realised it, the runs that I nad other people have arranged for high level instances like Strat Scholo DM BRD and BRS have been training runs - i have used them to assess how players work in the groups, how well they listen, how they react.
MC is simply not an option for us. We need a better spread of player classes than we have at the moment and for ppl equipped as we are (in the most part) we wouldnt even be able to take out trash at the moment. add to that that the instance resets only once a week and ppl in already established groups who run successfully will be locked in, so unable to join us.
My own feelings are that we lack the healing power required, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. My main problem is finding a time when we can run it. I know that there are some who already a ZG run with vexillum on a sunday, which i don't participate in. I would like to see who is interested in running ZG with the guild and when they are available - the instance is on a 3 day reset iirc.
AQ20 is harder than MC, if i'm correct in what i've remembered. we will need to have run ZG several times before we consider going there.
One final thing. This will not work if people don't listen to what's being said, or decide to push the group too quickly. This includes pulling too soon, not being ready, that kind of thing. You'll probably find me far too bossy for your liking in an instance - tough! If i shout or "bark" orders, I'm sorry, and i don't mean to cause offence. I will try to be as patient and friendly as possible, but if i ask someone to do something there's a reason for it - i expect it to be done.
Something that will make these runs easier will be TS - for them i would use a moderated channel, in which certain ppl/classes have voice. I would request that as many ppl as possible get onto the TS system.
I welcome feedback on this matter, as always.
