As you may or may not know, I set up these boards and also ran the dreadlords web page. Now, I'll be the first to admit the page needed a lot of work, however, i'm no computer whiz kid (hell, i'm way to old to be a kid for a start), and I only took on the job because at the time no one else wanted to. And it served it's purpose I believe. Especially these boards which have been a great source of information and chat. So it came as a complete surprise to me when 2 days ago I was told there was new boards and site on the way and that I was to hand over the dreadlords.co.uk domain name information for the new stuff. ( A domain name i bought and payed for out my own pocket BTW). But if anyone had thought to ask, I was actually working on a new web site at the time. But no, i wasn't asked or even told about it, and I have to admit, it hurt a bit. Now, i have no idea how long this had been in the pipe line, and I have no idea who was all involved, but as I have been doing it for a year now, I could have at least been kept in the loop i think. I feel certain people have went behind my back on this and basically shat on me and my admittedly not very good work, and so I have now left the guild as I feel the work I have done has been pretty much unappreciated. And if anyone is interested and so it doesn't go completely to waste, here's what I was working on. And for someone as computer stupid as me, I think it looks pretty good. www.btinternet.com/~joanna.rice3/orc12.htmlCheers brad Have a drink for me at the meet. Or 15. I like a drink. Alot.

I've been out of the loop on this as well, hell most people have. And to be honest I can understand TTB completely. The fact that he's the one who has put the time into it and then isn't even kept in the loop about the development sucks f**king ass! (I usuall don't swear, but this time it was needed) I'm Incredibly sorry to see you go Brad, you are and were one of the greatest players I've met in this game. /pulls bank one for you.

TTB, I have not been in the Guild long at all, but I think you are great and I loved the old website as I cannot even type properly let alone build one I also do not know who took the rights from you but I am pretty sure that it was not malicious in anyway, they probably did not think about it, or did not want to have to leave the pressure of building another with you. Can you not talk to the other modifiers about it? I'm sure they would rather work with what you have started than start again. i undestand why you are angry but DL is so much better as a Guild than most others.

TTB - Pls tell me who told you to hand over the domain name? Narkon has been talking to me about using a different kind of forum that has more functionality, but i told him to confer with you, not take it off you.
I assure you that all your hard work is *not* unappreciated and would like you to come back, reinstated at Overlord. This site is superb and I'm *immensely* appreciative of the work, effort and monetary expenditure that you have put in.
Moreover, and if you feel that you can't return, that is no reason not to go to the DLcon in April. You're one of the ones that i am really looking forward to meeting!
For information, I love the look that you were working on, and would like to see it implemented. People have spoken to me before about the site and i always ask them to speak to you - i'm neither a web designer nor an artist!
I'm really sorry you were approached in this fashion and hope that you feel comfortable coming back to us soon.
Ayb

I havnt replaces anything. I simply needed the domain name so that I could install the forums to www.dreadlords.co.uk/forumsI had no idea ttb would get upset about it, and I was even given the username and password to change the settings of the domain name. To find out he left was quite a surprise. I never had intensions of taking over. But was simply an offer I put forward, and have only mentioned the new site in officer chat.

There has obviously been a breakdown of communications here. For my part this was the first I had heard about any change in the webby side of things. I can see how this can be hard on TTB but I have to say that most (if not all it seems) of the guild had no idea this was going on. We all appreciate the hard work you put in TTB and I for one would never deem to criticize your efforts. You will be sorely missed for your all round contribution to the guild. Good Luck Yanzi

Well I didn't know that there was a new site in the pipeline either and if I had I would have been one of the first to stand up and offer my skills to you TTB.
I'm pretty sad you left but can fully understand how it must look from your side and hope that you'll rethink your departure as you were / are a very respected person.
Anyway, I hope we speak soon and it looks as though I will be hauling my boney ass to DL HQ (lol) in April.
Zeb.
