Character creation halted

To ease ?orky and Det's minds, Blizz have confirmed this as a temporary block for new accounts creating chars on overpopulated servers.

The main problem I have with this is their "untill the problem is resolved"... Well how long is that excatly... It blows that the problem exists yes, but that is just something we can't change. Get over it, ect. But at least give us a timeline as to when we might expect the problem to be resolved.
Oh well. Just going to curse at bliz untill they get it right.

All they have said about a timeframe for this is:

"Hardware to upgrade and improve the performance of these data centers is on order and will be installed next month."

At least it's fixed now, a friend of mine had the problem of not being able to create a character on the server. But earlier today i stareted a character myself to test test this and got in, and so did he when he tried again.
