As an exercise of curiosity I had a look at modifying models in WoW. This was mainly because some people don't seem to like the Tauren druid skins for the cat form. After finding info on how people changed the Warlock's pet skins, I had a play. I also experimented with character skins.... For fun, I changed the Tauren male skin to that of a Night Elf male. I've not modified textures, because that would have been too much space wasted for a simple test. Those of you wanting to try it, I've zipped up the file you need at: www.davien.plus.com/character.zipThis file just needs to be expanded into your "World of Warcraft\Data" directory. If you don't know what that is, I suggest not bothering to download the file. Now Tauren's look more like Chewie... and it's odd to see a Night Elf shaman run past you.... Note: This only affects your computer, and all Tauren male skins. If you want to remove it, go to your World of Warcraft folder and delete the "Character" folder and all it contains (should be a few more folders and TaurenMale.m2)

While it's unlikely, I'd like to point out that this is totally against the Blizzard EULA and if caught, you'll get a ban.
They'll probably never find out, but they may do.
