ZG is waiting for us. Many of us have run it before, some may not even know where it is. I am hoping that there is a serious desire within the guild to run ZG, and i want to make sure you all share my enthusiasm. I invite you all to register any problems you see with the guild running ZG soon, to suggest the best days for running ZG in your personal opinion and to register interest. Please note this is not a "Sign up" thread, but a consideration of the guilds assets we currently are missing and a review of weather we have enough active members to participate. ZG isnt going to happen over night, but with propper planning and consideration, and the determination to persivere we can get this thing off the ground soon. I look forward to seeing everyones opinions and suggestions.
Regards~ Grum
P.S. My appologies if there is a similar thread to this one.

I think this is something that's been needed for a while - A guild raid. I'm in for sure.

Yep, I'm certainly interested, have a few quetsions tho.
1) Raid leader, who is it?
2) Raid organiser, Grum I believe has volunteered?
3) Day and time, Sundays seem the best option more people on but is that ok for everyone?
4) Looting system, DKP, loot list, or need and greed?
5) Related to above who is master looter?
We certainly have the numbers to do this, not taking into account alts but we are short on Tanks and maybe interest / time as other raids will probably come first.
Would ZG be the best option Mogg commented that it has a steep lerning curve, perhaps AQ or UBERS would be better to try ( loot would be potentially lower tho).

i don't know if this is part of this topic and i apologize if its not but i'm new here and not familiar with using a forum so here goes: when i see this ZF topic i'm a little bit confused about when a run is going to happen and how or where i can sign in. maybe the leaders can make a new topic each week on monday and everybody who wants to join can sign in. maybe it wil make things only worse or maybe it is new here it but i just wanted to say this

Trip - As i said, this is still under construction. Me and cogar are spearheading the work needed in preperation for the first raid/s.
Ok, Now, with the help of Cogar, we can finaly push the guild in the direction that has been an irritating dead end for many many months, and has been the cause of loss of players.
While there are still a number of things in consideration with regards to times, dates, numbers of classes etc, i am adamant that in the mean time we should develop guild skills. This means training, and the friendliest place to train our group skills is Upper black rock spire.
This is by far one of the nicest places to train our communication skills, incapacitating skills, tanking skills, healing skills and the whole other host of other skills needed in an instance. So, in preperation for the future, i am going to organise a UBRS raid, and in the time it takes for ZG to be up and running we will have plenty of time to get used to working as a team. UBRS takes roughly 2 and a half hours maximum to complete, so i will create another sign up thread with more information.
This is just a progress report on where we are at so far with the planning, but it will hopefully let you know that this project is far from being abandoned. More on it soon, and make sure to join us in UBRS.

I'm in as Kementari (or Sanguinus when needed). Scaramanga is locked in with Vexillum, although the lockout time is only max 3 days, depending on when the runs are, he might be able to come too. I have been on a LOT of ZG runs, killed Hakkar several times etc, so if any advice is needed, I can help. Also, if I manage to level Misery to 60, she can make an appearance as offtank if needed.

It's good to see some action being taken for Dread Lords. Organising good ZG runs is hard, it's basicly a mini MC. The hard part lies mainly in keeping the runs consistent, having enough people every week, keep them happy enough so they want to come back, and prefferably the same people (or at least part of the grp) every week. This all stands or falls with good planning and organisation. No offence intended but a one time 10 man UBRS run cannot be compared with regular ZG runs. Things I think that need to be done: - Two or three people need to stand up and take action.
start thinking, planning, brainstorming and prepare. Doing this requires a lot of commitment, it's a long term thing, you will get a questions and whines fired at you, prepare for the worst but if it's done well you will be the most rewarded one. btw, don't even start thinking about doing it alone ;p
- Think about a lootsystem, queue's or DKP? If decided on what system start thinking about the details. How to handle specific situations and items.
- How are the invites going to be handled? Regular sign ups? on the forum? some other way? will there be priorities or not? etc etc.
- Think about days and times, which will be most suited
. If some serious raiding is coming of the ground I'm more then willing to attend, be it ZG or AQ20. Personally I'd opt for a DKP system, in a grp that most likely will change a bit from week to week this is the best system imo (if needed I have a webserver and database at my disposal, i could set up eqdkp on it for DL usage) About raiding days, I'd start with one day and stretch it to a second as soon as some good progress is made. Tuesday seems like a good day to me as both Vexillum and Coalition don't raid that day which would free up some experienced lvl60's

Aye Tuesday's would seem like a good evening for this.
I'd be more than willing to help organise this (I've led the coalition raids to ZG a few times), but the problem's going to be how to get it started? Without meaning to be presumptuous, perhaps the best way is just to put forward a proposal as a starting point and then let everyone comment on it. So that’s what I’m going to do. Take an active approach.
Zul’Gurub - Tuesday 8th August Invites will start at 8pm game time. That's 8th of the 8th at 8. Be outside the Instance at 8.
Invite system I will add a thread on this forum for each raid to sign up on. Adding your name to the thread is taken as an "I will be there at 8", not an “I'd like to come and might see you there sometime”.
Invites will be done on an invite queue system. Everyone that has signed up for a raid will be added to a global invite queue. Those that have signed up for a raid will be taken according to their position in the queue. Attending a raid will move you up one spot in the queue, until you reach the top at which point you will move to the last spot again. New people that sign up for a raid will start at the bottom of the queue. If you’re a no show, or late to a raid you will be moved down in the queue.
Loot system DKP - Boss kill points. For each boss kill a player is present at they will get a set amount of points. When an item drops all players are entitled to bid on it using their dkp points. It’s an open bidding, run buy the loot master. The points spent are then deducted from your total. The points awarded for each boss needs to be decided upon. ---Edit--- Coins and Bijous? Thoughts on this?
Please post any comments below this post. Again, I’m not saying these rules are the law (I don’t think I’m in any position to say that), but merely I am taking the initiative to try and get this going and am proposing the above. : )
Err, that’s about all really. I’m going to add a sign up post for this, and until then let’s discuss the above proposals (as they are just what I see as the most simple and fair system to use) and see if we can’t get kicking some troll butt!

Sounds good But regarding the DKP system, will points be accumulated only through boss kills, or also through being on time, staying until the end, etc etc? Coins and Bijous could IMO be distributed equally (using for example Round Robin), as their only use is to gain rep.
