I'm gonna take that bait.
I know Dustin has worked hard for Vendetta and yes it would be a cool and great thing if DL could get their own MC runs together but I don't forsee it happening. Why not?
Dread Lords was never ment to be a raiding guild, by the time a lot of the older DL's started hitting 60 there were no 20 man instances, there was MC, a bit later Ony and BWL. The ones in the guild that wanted to raid started going with the early Coalition runs, a bit later I founded Vexillum where a lot of raid-willing DL's ended up. Soon some DL's left the guild to join Core Horde, the other continued to pwn with Vexillum. It is not untill recentlty that DL as a guild has (nearly) enough of all classes to form their own raiding team in theory.
The majority of those "veterans" have been running MC for almost a year now with people from other guilds, first strangers, now friends. By asking them to leave that team you are asking them to leave what most of them consider their second guild, how fair is that?
Also the thought of starting MC allover again, going through the painfull experience of relearning everything again with a new team is something most of those "veterans" will avoid. Heck most of them are simply fed up with MC, have almost everything they want from there and if they'd have the choice would never set foot in there again. (I know several people in the guild that feel that way, it's not only me)
Lastly, Burning Crusade is weeks away. People that more recently wanted to go raiding had the choice of either joining a existing team and be pretty asured that they have a decent chance of getting their T1 set together and see a glimpse of BWL or join a yet to be formed completely new team and with some effort get a few bosses down which will be hard to do with one night of raiding. Once BC hits the shelves MC will be a thing of the past where no one goes anymore. I guess it's a act driven by greed but tbh I understand that decision.
Dread Lords is a great guild, I feel priviliged to be a member of it but it simply wasnt ment for MC or raiding as a guild. I think the guild will have a better chance in Burning Crusade to operate on it's own with smaller raids and the majority of 60's will hit 70 at approx. the same time I reckon. But we simply missed out on these 40 man raids, nothing or no one could prevent that, it's just how things went.

First off, it wasnt "bait" to start an argument, that wasn't how i wanted it viewed. And so im not going to post a big reply back, your points are valid and i guess its a case of see how things go when BC hits. see you in game
