Ok, we are finaly getting somewhere . Im sure many of you have been to UBRS before. For those of you who havent, a brief note.
Raid instance - 10 man
Trash mobs - lvl 56E to 61E in groups numbering up to 6.
Main bosses - Pyroguard Emberseer - Fire elemental
A simple case of standard tank and DPS.
- Farther Flame - Large Dragonkin
The main problem with Farther Flame is the mobs summoned before him. The smaller dragonkin (Flamescale HAtchers i think they are called) run around opening the dragon eggs littering the ground. while the summoned Dragonlings are none elite, the hatchers will ceaslessly opne the eggs untill they are killed, or we are. Due to this, these hatchers are PRIME TARGETS. Tanks will maintain aggro on the other standard mobs while the hatchers are killed. THEY MUST BE KILLED ASAP. when Farther Flame appears, it is just another standard battle, but with consideration for the eggs on the floor.
- Gyth - Warchief Rend Blackhand's mount
When coming up to the Pit where the Rend fight is, DO NOT jump in immediately. Wait for the group to mana up, and when agreed jump into the pit. All players must move to the right hand wall, opposite the ledge, otherwise there may be an unnecesary wipe caused. there will be 8 or so staggered trash mobs before Gyth appears. Nefarian will announce when Rend is joining the fray. Rend will fly in on gyth and will be drawn by the Main tank (MT). at 25%, rend will be knocked off of Gyth, where gyth will then be tanked by the Off Tank (OT). At this point, the battle shifts to...
- Rend Blackhand - Warchief
While Gyth will still recieve all DPS, the MT will hold Rend captivewith aggro. When Gyth is dead, The group shall change to Rend and unleash hell. This is just a straightforward battle.
- The Beast - Puppy on steroids
The beast looks big. It looks fierce. It looks like it will rip you to shreads. It wont. another run and gun battle. it is neigh impossible for the tanks to hold aggro forever, which is why any shammans should drop Totems to stop fear, which will hopefully help tanks keep agro. The beast moves slow and regulary switches target, so keep your cool and give it your all. When done, a skinner will be apointed to skin the beast. more on looting later.
- General Drakkisath - The black dragonflight
This is the hardest boss of the instance, and the final one, but it is possible to avoid wipes and get him down with the first try.
The basic plan is this. The MT will charge drakki and hold aggro. NO ONE attacks drakki untill the adds are dead. warlock will be on fear duty, with spam fear on the single mob to the RIGHT of drakki. he will not stop this spam fear. the mob on the LEFT will be ganked by the rest of the group. When the LEFT add is dead, they will change attention to the RIGHT add. He will quickly be dispatched by the group. Then to drakki. Casters should maintain ranged distance to avoid Drakkis AoE attacks, and all Melee DPS should be wary for AoE. Dont stand in the range once its launched, but hurrry back when it is gone. MT will maintain aggro, but OT must be wary of the MT being "Conflagelated" - which means they recieve DoT and lose aggro, as well as being incapacitated. in this case, they will run in and grab aggro. MT will then do dammage as normal, and take aggro again if it should be needed. This continues untill Drakki is dead.
---Please note, i am aware there are many methods for Drakki, but this method has the highest rate of success for me so we are doing this one. Suggestions are welcome on the forums, but they will be ignored in the instance. If we wipe, then somethng didnt go right but we will work through it.
Phew... Guides are tiring. But now, you know what to do.
This is now the guild sign up page for UBRS. the first planned run is TUESDAY 25th JULY at 8pm game time (7pm English time). If needed, the date / time can be changed. Sign up in the same fashion as i have below, and happy dragon Hunting
I would like to be informed if you have the seal of ascension aswell, as it is needed to get into UBRS
Also, This is a friendly guild run. anyone with a negative attitude towards anyone in the group, keep it to yourselfs. i wont lose sleep over kicking you from the group for any unthoughtful comments. im sure it wont happen, but just in case.
