At the moment the guild for me is going swimmingly, im getting the help i need, and the people are nice.
However,
i have had some idea's, some of which are ideas i suggested to oldbuds but it was near the end of guild
1) have you throught about trying to get the guild into the 'guild relations' program ?
2) Why dont we as a guild run events, for the lower level people on the server, what this does is cements our reputation as a top notch guild and also gives us alot of good publicity.
2 examples of events
-- Hide and seek
-- Scavenger hunt
-- Market day
I think the first one speaks for its self, find a town or map within wow, get a rogue to stealth and have everyone try and find him/her. offer a small prize (gold or item).
the second much the same thing but we give people a list of things to find and offer a prize.
the third, is one ive throught about, Dread lords market, we set up a market monthly where we all get together and hawk our wears. not just spamming city trade channels but actually setting up on part of the map where people can come and speak to us and buy things off us. This allows us to talk to people get to know each other, duel, have fun and it also paints the guild in a good light, which means more people (level 60s and the like) will want to join?
Simple things that take little or no organising and with the addition of the community events page on wow we could get quite a good rep:) With a little work we could become one of the most popular guild on the server, even if we dont take people on, and that would make raiding and grinding a lot easier for us!
i for one can offer my services at trying to get a good solid event off the ground with a nice back story
Any how /breathe
what you reckon?
